When you take a step towards living life with authenticity the feeling of fear can present itself on your path. I have been reflecting a lot about the notion of confirmations on our life journeys. Author Jim Brown refers to these as “spiritual breadcrumbs from the universe.” I have been fortunate enough to have a handful of these breadcrumbs on my journey. I refer to these as “gems,” the most beautiful of which has been recently reconnecting with my childhood best friend. I remember the day we met on our street when I was four and she was five. I walked through the snow to introduce myself and from that day on we were inseparable as children. Our lives have led us in different directions as well as thousands of miles apart but magically this year our paths have crossed. Our common interests in writing and the divine feminine journey have fuelled rich conversation and creative inspiration. In my course work one of the concepts that is most profound is honouring the child you once were. In this process of honouring you can begin to reclaim your authentic self and rediscover gifts that you have left behind and forgotten about. I believe these gifts are the seeds of pure potential. My childhood friend knows my authentic self, the essence of who I once was. Reconnecting with her is one of these confirmations or “gems.” It is representative that I have been reconnecting with my truest self…the one I had left behind for a while. My authentic self is creative, wise, and mystical. She is beautiful soul with a divine purpose. Your authentic self and purpose is too. It’s no surprise to me that my friend and I have re-entered each other’s lives at this very time. It is magical!
